Hi, I have undergone a thyroid test and these are the results. T3 - 94,45 ng/dl T4- 7.40 ug/dl TSH- 8.26 iIU/ml What do these findings Indicate? Also I always feel tired, I sleep a lot, I have hair fall for past 2 years( reduced a bit recently) and my weight has been stagnant for about 3 years now.
Your T3 is slightly lower than normal range and TSH is higher than the normal range. This generally indicates hypothyroidism (inadequate functioning of the thyroid gland). Your symptoms of tiredness and sleepiness, in my opinion, are related to this. You will need a short course of replacement with thyroid hormone, the dose of which can be fixed by your physician. Hope this answer cleared your query. Dr Kashyap P Lanka
